SUMMER YOUTH EXPERIENCES

Summer experiences open our eyes to witnessing God already at work in the world, while experiencing life alongside others in the communities to which we are sent. We don’t serve to save or fix others; we serve out of love for our neighbor — who just might come in the form of a stranger — because it is our response to what God has already done in Jesus Christ. This summer, a menu of experiences are available to help us encounter Jesus in the midst of caring and mutual relationships.

Summer Stretch

Completed Grades 6-8

Cost: $60 per session
Serve in your community and enjoy God’s recreation! Summer Stretch is a great day program for youth who want the experience of an overnight service trip without the overnights. Summer Stretch sites may include: Second Harvest Heartland, SkyZone, Global Health Ministries, or a water park. Sign up for one, two, or all three sessions!

During a week in Benton Harbor, our group will partner with local organizations to serve the city across age and racial divides. In the evenings, our group will tour the community and learn about the fine arts revitalization in Benton Harbor from a community friend. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience local BBQ, visit a Lake Michigan beach, and explore Benton Harbor’s sister city, St. Joseph.
