Confirmation Ministry
About Confirmation
Confirmation at Resurrection is a three-year program beginning in sixth grade that
leads to the Rite of Confirmation service in the fall of a youth’s ninth grade year. Confirmation is
meant to help youth experience Christ through meaningful and intentional relationships, learn
the foundations of our faith, as well as develop lifelong worship habits and faith practices. It is
designed to help students name and grow their unique, God-given gifts, with the invitation to
use those gifts for service in the church and in the world. Confirmation is the opportunity for
young people to grow, question, and explore their faith so they may make the decision to take
ownership of their faith.
Confirmation meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm.

Confirmation Family Night Kick-Off
Wednesday, September 23, 6:30-8pm
Kick off the new confirmation year with an evening designed to help parents and teens connect, communicate, and grow together! We’ll share a little information about what to expect during the confirmation program year, but the heart of the evening will be our 5 Love Languages for Teens session.
Families will have the opportunity to discover how they each experience and express love, learn practical ways to communicate more effectively, and explore how stronger family relationships can support a vibrant life of faith. Come ready to learn, laugh, and grow together as we begin a new year of confirmation!
